The California Nebula and the constellation Vulpecula

To all,

The September New Moon was good to me.:D

The first image is a single 60-minute exposure of the California nebula taken with Kodak E-200 pushed 1-stop.  It was imaged with a Pentax 67 camera using the 300mm F/4.0 EDIF lens wide-open.

The second image is of the constellation Vulpecula.  Again, it was taken with the same gear and film mentioned above.  It is also a single 60-minute exposure.  According to Registar, the field contains over 225,000 stars.  I highly recommend viewing the higher resolution 1920x2400 version which is approximately 5.5 megabytes.  It just begins to show how many stars were captured in this field of view.

As usual, most of the processing was done in PixInsight Standard (i.e., flat-fielding, neutralizing background, and noise reduction).  Some minor curve adjustments and the web versions were done in Photoshop CS3.

Enjoy,

Wade

Hello twade.

The images I see quite well, trying in the constellation of stars not saturate these pictures, but because in the end the details are lost.

I am also fond constellations,:
