Masked Stretch Utilty
« on: 2011 September 09 10:57:42 »
Hi everyone....sorry if this is a silly question but what settings are most commonly employed when using masked stretch. I know to some degree it depends on the image but how do you determine this other than trial and error.  Specifically:

Target median

Do you employ a blur and how? Atrous? Number of layers?

Thanks for any guidance or pointing me in the right direction.

Cheers
Carlos

By the way, on the above tutorial, Target median is set to 0.430, while the script interface does not allow values greater than 0.2. There is a command at line 506 "setRange (0.001, 0.2);" Any suggestions wether that should be changed to 0.001, 0.5??

Great info thanks guys!  I have one stupid question....it seems a higher target median results in a brighter sky background....is this correct.

Also another stupid question how do you measure the target median? as in the tutorial or make the choice as to what target median you want?

Cheers
Carlos

I used the statistics module on the HDRWT processed image.
