M16 with HD 11
« on: 2011 September 07 19:49:35 »
Also posted in the Sept. contest. My first HD 11 image. Still working out the bugs. M16 is low to my horizon with trees limiting the amount of time per night I had on this target. Well that and the dreadful summer weather. Such marvelous targets, such crummy skies.

Thanks Ken. If you just looked you'll have noticed I reprocessed the image starting with HDRWT which had dimpled the stars originally. From a distance the effect can't be seen too well but at 1:1 with a sharp eye the difference is there.
Best,

Looks great to me.  This one can be deceptively tricky to get nice stars and colour, even when you have the luxury of it passing overhead.  ;)
