By all ins.  As it looks we are arriving the last Saturday in Oct, but these are not 100% firm yet.  We will spend Saturday in Santiago and then leave for CTIO on Sunday.  SO Saturday would be a good time to get together???

I believe they have a Saturday + Sunday price. Sunday really is only 8am to noon, so all you'd be "wasting" is 4 hours.
BTW I'm honored you make my talk the #1 reason for you to go, but AIC can be a lot of fun for many other reasons: the vendor area is a playground, you get to talk to people with same (or similar) interests, and of course you get to see other talks that might be very interesting - sometimes it's not only about processing this or processing that.

Anyway, if you live in the area, the question really is not whether you should go to the AIC or not but WHY we haven't met at a dark site yet! I go out a lot. I mean, incredibly insanely whole lot!! Henry Coe, Montebello, Lake San Antonio, DARC Observatory, Dinosaur Point, etc etc... If it exists, I've been and I will be there (well, almost). Are you familiar with TAC? If not, you should.

Hola Rogelio:
Espero que la conferencia de hoy  resulte interesante y los asistentes salgan satisfechos de ella , cosa que yo no dudo.
Además con tu APOD 12,9..... "caido" hoy mismo
Como decía alguien:
Vista, suerte y al toro.
Saludos.

Hi Rogelio:
I hope today's conference interesting and leave the audience satisfied with it, which I do not doubt it.
In addition to your APOD 12.9 ..... "Dropped" today.
As someone was saying:
Vista, luck and the bull.

Greetings.

Manolo L
Saludos.

I am a long-time PS user, and have had a PI license for several months now.  I just heard RBA's presentation at today's AIC meeting. He was very entertaining and presented PI in an extremely favorable and non-confrontational manner.  It was very well received.  Of course, his images are beautiful.
Listening to him today has encouraged me to give Pixinsight a serious try.  I admit that I have been reluctant to devote time to PI in part because of my aversion to the negativity expressed towards PS and other programs.  I have never understood why that approach was taken by some PI users.  RBA's presentation today should be very helpful in getting others to try PI.
Best regards,  Mark Manner

Hi Mark

I hope you come to be a big PI user and teach us old dogs new tricks  >:D

I always go out of the way not to slate other software its not my place to do so and I don't see many PI users doing so , I am on many occasions the
recipient of some "you must be nuts to use PI its rubbish " , I also wish things just be discussed in a adult way  ;D

I'm glad you enjoyed the presentation, Mark. Yes I felt the presentation was well received, which of course makes me very happy.

I think this topic (and maybe others) should have been un-pinned a while ago :)
