Update fails

Hi,

 I downloaded and installed version 1.7 and the automatic updater found 5 updates. I selected all, all where correctly downloaded and then I closed PI to allow the updater to run. After a few seconds PI opened again and an small windows popped up with the message :The Update process has failed (or something similar). I opened the log report but the screen was empty without test on it. OK, I closed PI, opened again and repeated the process. This time, after closing PI I got an error window: Title bar: "PixInsightUpdater.exe- No se puede encontrar el componente". The content of the Windows is: "Error al iniciar la aplicación porque no se encontró MSVCP100.dll. La reinstalación de la aplicación puede solucionar el problema"

 After that, I reinstalled PI1.7 again and repeated all the steps above again with exactly the same results: First try fails and second try pops the missing dll message.

Any clue?

 I tried again today and everything went OK this time. I simply can't understand what happened yesterday, anyway everything is fine now.

Y qué hiciste, Pere, para solucionarlo? Porque a mí me sale constantemente ese mismo error y no consigo arreglarlo.

And what did you, Pere, to fix it? For me I get the same error constantly and I can not fix it.

Si el error que te da es que falta el archivo MSVCP100.dll, la solución rápida es que te descargues e instales el redistribuible del Visual Studio 2010. Lo puedes conseguir en estas direcciones:

La solución buena es que Juan compruebe porqué ese archivo no se instala junto al Pixi.

Gracias Andrés, pero lo he instalado (el de 32 bits, que es el que funciona en mi máquina) y me sigue dando el mismo problema. Pixinsight descarga las actualizaciones y parece que las instala, pero al volver a reiniciar el problema sale un mensaje en inglés que dice que la actualización ha fallado. A ver si alguien aporta algo de luz.
