First do background neutralization or DBE, then color calibration.

I do my color calibration after the image has been cropped to ensure rgb borders all around and has had a Dynamic Background Extraction or Background Neutralization process done. As I dither my images, after combining the red, green, and blue images, the border is usually overlapped. Cropping the RGB image ensures that there is RGB data in the entire frame. Now when I do any procedure there shouldn't be any area where one frame is/isn't represented. Now doing either the above and then color calibration I know the entire data set is sampled. Hope this makes sense.

Hi,

looks like you're struggling with some basic issues. Please take a few moments (hours) to view Harry's videos. They are linked from within PI.

I wasn't referring to your image. I recommend you review Harry's video about DBE as it will probably answer "now i have 3 windows.. what next?"

Make sure your image is properly cropped so it does not include any weird borders. Steve already said that. Then do DBE and apply an automatic STF to the resulting images to see what you've got. Once you like the result you can choose to apply DBE to the source image or proceed with the generated image, that's up to you.
