OSX Lion
« on: 2011 July 25 13:10:57 »
Hi

After nearly five years of great service I am going to retire my current Apple. I am drooling over a new Macbook Air with a thunderbolt screen. Two questions I have are:

1. Is PixInsight good with Lion?
2. Is Pixinsight good with solid state drives?

Thanks

Julian

Hi Julian,

There should be no problems with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. And if there are some problems (which should be of very minor importance) we'll fix them in September. See this thread for more information.

As for SSDs, as long as they are managed as regular storage devices by the operating system (that is, as hard disks), PixInsight will use them as part of your local filesystem.
