Dynamic PSF AverageStarData - Parameter BETA
« on: 2012 January 04 08:20:37 »
Hi,

Can anyone explain the meaning from parameter 'beta' to me and the relationship to the other factors like FWHM ....

I read in a thread, this is the most important number to analyse the PSF from an image -
but I cant find the thread anymore and have no idea, about the sense and use of the number.

This data is from an undersampeld image, which is resampled to 300%.

I'm right to divide the mean FWHM 4,3 by 2,355 to get the sigma (StdDev) for the DeconvlutionTool?

The original image (linear) is here:

Thank you for your help.
