<Full Screen> and <Full Desktop> bug
« on: 2011 January 09 12:20:06 »
Hi Juan,

Still using v1.6.1 (sorry!!) - and I have encountered the following 'bug' (on Vista64):-

From the <View> menu,
I execute <Full Screen>, at which point I lose the 'menu bar' at the top of the PI window (and hence can no longer 'resize' the PI window)
I then execute <Full Desktop>, which 'spreads' the PI window over all three of my monitors (not ideal, because my toolbars are all messed up, and my floating console window now gets in the way)
I then <Full Screen> again and the PI window returns to 'fill' my main monitor.

However, this is where the problem lies - I 'lose' (or never recover) both the 'Title Bar' of the PI window (and hence the 'Minimize', 'Maximise' and 'Exit' icons) at the top of the screen, and the 'Windows Task Bar' at the bottom of the main screen.

If I click on one of my two other monitors (on the normal 'Desktop') the the Windows Taskbar re-appears - but only until I next select PI. Unless I return to <Full Desktop> mode, I cannot close PI, other than by using <File>/<Exit> (or <Ctrl-X>)from the Menu.

When I re-open PI it will still be in <Full Screen> mode, but I can recover the Title Bar by un-clicking <Full Screen>. However, although the Title Bar returns, but I still do not get the Task Bar unless I click the Desktop on one of my auxiliary monitors.

Yes, I know this sounds horrible, and I am sure that it is some evil quirk of Windows - but it will certainly make me determined NOT to use this functionality if I can possibly avoid it. You know me - I try to NEVER have to shut down PI, it's like losing a dear friend!!
Cheers,
