An issue with ÀTrousWavelet dialog resizing
« on: 2007 August 31 10:13:32 »
The ATW dialog can get quite tall. In an attempt to make it smaller, I just discovered a bug... or is it a feature?

Open up the sections "Large-Scale Transfer Function", "k-Sigma Noise Thresholding" and "Dynamic Range Extension". Now, try to make the dialog vertically shorter by dragging its top edge. You will see some frames collapsing and being eventually unusable.

If those sections are closed, the dialog fits in my screen and no collapsing is possible. As soon as the dialog doesn't fit (by opening just one of those sections), then this effect is visible.

In my desktop system, I have a vertical resolution of 1024 píxels, far greater than the 800 I have in the laptop. I just checked this and noticed that the described behaviour happens when just one of the sections is open, even if the dialog still fits in the screen.

It seems that there's something like a "Minimum size" of the dialog. When some sections are opened, you can make the dialog smaller until you reach that minimum, and then the problem is visible. When no sections are opened, the dialog is so small that there's no room for making it smaller.
