- write a new post
- try to attach an image larger than 192KB
- click the 'back' link or whatever it's called when the forum informs you that the image is too large
- original message appears
- can't edit message
- can't change the attached image

Repeats every single time. Latest Firefox on Vista x64.

I also saw this behaviour, with IE8 on Windows7. Annoying, but once you find out, you lnow to copy the text to the clipboard before trying to submit the message - in case you need it again later.

This looks like a bug in the Simple Machines forum software. I keep it up-to-date, but I'll see if there is something I can do about this problem.

Sorry, the only workaround, as Georg has pointed out, is knowing that this happens and taking the precaution to copy your message elsewhere before previewing.

Right, it's clearly not a PI bug but I thought you're paying for the forum software so you'd have support :) Now I see that it's free so we're out of luck.
