ImageIntegration Not Preserving FITS Header Keywords
« on: 2010 April 07 21:55:20 »
Juan,

While testing out v1.60, I noticed that it is not preserving some key FITS Header information.  When creating BIASES, DARKS, and FLATS, it may be a good idea to preserve a little more of the FITS Header information.  For example, EXPTIME, EXPOSURE, YBINNING, XBINNING, YPIXSZ, XPIXSZ, SET-TEMP, IMAGETYP.  There may be more that should be preserved or recalculated.

Any thoughts?

Wade

:DGood idea to preserve FITS Header :D
And what about BatchFormatConversion ? It's possible to teach the script to generate FITS Header during conversion of *.cr2 to *.fit?

Sure. In PJSR, you have the FITSKeyword object and the ImageWindow.keywords property.

Good point. I'll try to improve ImageCalibration in this regard. Thank you for pointing this out.

Yes,

I had this problem too.
If you make a master frame and import it into MaxIM DL it would not work.
MaxIM DL and CCDstack Requires keywords time, temp, filter etc to work with their calibration routines.
