Difficulty in installing updates to Ver 1.8.8.3

Hello--I expect I am doing something incorrectly, but eveery time I try to install updates for Ver 1.8.8-3 I get an error message.
I have uninstalled, and then reinstalled PixInsight multiple times with the same result.
Can someone tell me where i'm going wrong?  Attached below is the error message which results:

Thanks for your link Bill.   Next time I am home I will try installing the updates piecemeal and
skip the update PixInsight Core v1.8.8-4 (update/bugfix). 
I am running 64 bit Win10, so the reference to Win32 error seems odd, but I am not a computer whiz.

Hi Bill--well, I got home today, and tried installing piecemeal.  All was successful except for the PixInsight Core v1.8.8-4 (update/bugfix).
I have tried everything I could think of with NO success on that update.
I am surprised none of the moderators has provided any suggestions.

I give up!

To me this looks like a Windoooze problem not a PI problem. Some process is accessing the same file that PI wants to write, this problem has been noted before.

Have you tried turning off all anti-malware software and all AV software? 

Have you tried running the update in selective safe mode (safe mode with network enabled)?

Just 2 thoughts that come to mind. 

I'm running Windows 10 x64 and had a few odd errors the other night when trying to update (not the same as you I think).  A few nights later, the update worked without issue.  Weird...I didn't change anything on the computer at all.

Why not update to version 1.8.8-5 and give that a whirl.

I did update to 1.8.8-5 over the weekend, and all went perfectly. 
I consider the issue closed.
