new version problem.
« on: 2020 February 03 12:58:25 »
        Hi,
I installed the new version (1.8.8.3) but staring it, the error message appears (see attached file). Then, clicking several times on the ok button (relative to error applet), PI starts but no menu appears, so is not possible to use it. I use Windows 7 up to date on 4 core AMD.
Any idea in order to solve it?

Thanks a lot for support and best regards,
   Sergio

PI does not support Windooooze 7, see many other posts in forum, you will have to upgrade to 10

     Dear all,
I have others two PCs with the Windows 7 (and Intel processor), and the same version of the PI works properly!. Moreover, I installed also all the PI update (to version 1.8.8.4) but with not result.
The problem is not Windows 7, all my others software (new and old -32 bits too-) works properly on Windows 7, I have problems only with this new version of PI.
I think that a PI software developer, can indicate me the true problem and how to solve it.

 Best regards,
 Sergio

unfortunately Juan has stated multiple times that windows 7 is no longer supported. that means, if it works for you, that's great, but he's not going to dig into problems on that platform when they occur.

clearly if you have two windows 7 machines where PI works OK and one where it does not, the issue must have something to do with the environment on the machine where PI does not work.
