Blink is loading CR2 files as RBG images on new computer?
« on: 2019 November 24 21:58:22 »
Setting up a new computer for Pixinsight and when I load CR2 files into Blink they come up as RBG images not Gray!

So… I loaded a sampling of the same CR2 files on my old computer's Pixinsight and they come up correct as gray images. Hummmm? Got me stumped. Anyone know what setting is wrong on the new computer?

dunno how old your old version of PI is but the newer versions of PI use libRaw instead of DCRAW to handle CR2 files. so the default settings may have changed.

in the format explorer tab, double-click on RAW, and then click the button labeled "pure raw" and click OK. that will reconfigure libRAW to stop debayering the CR2 images when you open them.
