Subframe selector removes colour information
« on: 2019 November 07 06:31:27 »
Gentlefolk,
I am quite new to PixInsight and I have encountered an issue with the subframe selector. I am imaging with a DSLR and importing my subs as "Pure Raw" files. The issue is that when I use the subframe selector to create "approved" subs with a weighting keyword added, I am unable to debayer them later in processing. (PixInsight complains that the colour information is missing). Any suggestions?
Thanks.

You should debayer before you use SubframeSelector, see this post and answer from Rob

well juan did subsquently say that SFS would mostly work on bayered data... but i guess its a little less than ideal to use bayered data.

i guess whats happening is that SFS is saving the files as xisf and theres no hint for what the bayer matrix should be.

if this is a canon DSLR i think you can set the bayer matrix to RGGB manually in Debayer and it should work out.
