Searched the forum for guidance about using the StarHaloReducer script, to no avail.
Can anybody explain how this script works?

Hi Rodolphe!

An easier way to reduce star halos is to create a suitable mask with GAME - a script by Hartmut Bornemann - and the use of CurvesTransformation.
Simple, flexible and very fast.
