Pixinsight - Startup - Exception Error

For some reason, my Pixinsight has decided to stop working.   When i double click on the desktop icon, it starts to load and abruptly stops with a grey screen with a warning saying "Unknown Expception"     I cant do anything other than go to task manager and end the task.   Tried running as administrator, same result.

Never seen anything like this before.   Thought i would ask for some help before taking more drastic action to resolve.    Anyone offer any assistance please?

I assume you are on a Mac not windooooze?

Suggest you delete PI and re-install just to make sure it hasn't been corrupted.

Is there any more information given in the error?

Problem is not on Mac (Thats working fine).  Its Windows 10. 

No other info to offer i'm afraid.  I get the Initial grey/brown splash then this..

Did you try a re-install?

That’s what I had to do in the end.  All working now.   Can’t think what might have caused it... windows updates are off, so as far as I can tell nothing has changed since the last time I used it a couple of days ago.

But, back and working, so alls not lost!
