Error message when running BPP
« on: 2019 August 21 13:17:00 »
I was trying to integrate some subs (there are only 13 or so) using BPP and I get this error message:

*** Error: /Volumes/ASTR WIN/Pictures/Astronomy/Lights/CygnusWall/registered/Ha/NGC7000-Wall_120sec_1x1_2019-08-20_frame10_Ha_c_r.xisf (channel #0): Unable to compute noise estimate.
<* failed *>

I'm using the same settings I always use, flats, bias, darks, etc as usual.

Any ideas?

open that frame and see if it's all messed up, for instance just black with a few pinpoints of stars...

That frame does look really messed up. I used my backup laptop last night while imaging (thank you Microsoft for the 3 hour update on my normal imaging machine), and maybe there was a different camera driver or something.
Thanks Rob!

no problem glad it was a one-off. the alternaive is that something went wrong with dark acquisition...

I will say I'm a bit concerned though. It _looks_ like I used the same camera driver, the gain was the same in my lights from last night and in my darks, etc., but what fun would this hobby be if you didn't have a night that was a total waste of time once in a while?
