LinearFit problems

I'm trying to do a LinearFit between my linear OIII image and my Linear Green Image (so I can attempt to fix the halos in my OIII image. After applying the linear fit process, my green image is a total mess. Can anyone tell me what's happening here? I'm using the most up to date PI on Mac OS. Images attached.

the images need to be registered to one another as linear fit is going to compare each pixel in image A with the corresponding pixel in image B... if not registered there's no correlation between the two and the math gives a nonsense answer.
