A good campaign of thumbs down can throw it into oblivion.

He did seem to like my comment :)

Very unfortunate, but common these days. I would suggest having youtube take the video down and deleting this thread, you don't want to advertise that a cracked version of PI exists, it will only help to proliferate the problem.

It never ceases to amaze me at the levels some people will stoop. Here's to him breaking his back trying to crawl back under the rock he emerged from. To take someone's hard work and outright steal it, ask for a donation, post his identity, and seemingly proud of it really shows me just how stupid this guy is. And that's just from what I've read here because I have no desire to see the video or have any contact with such a moron. This kind of c--p boils my blood. Juan, know that those of us here will always have your back and help push the program for those interested. I proudly use a PixInsight badge under all the images I post on my website letting those who view them know what software was used. Now if I were a better imager that might be more helpful but I try.

It's vary sad that such smartness is used to perform criminal acts.

I tried to report the video, but YoutTube allows to do it only to the owner of the "brand".
The only thing that I've done is to click con the dislike button.

But please Juan, delete this thread from the forum, there is A LOT of people that would cheat if he can, so don't help them!

Best regards

Edoardo

I must say that maybe I was a bit reluctant to buy pixinsight at the beginning, (mainly because I was unsure about my ability to use it properly and get good results and not for the price itself).
After only 2-3 times using it I was so happy with it, and now I'm confindent to say that for this price there is no filter, telescope, camera or whatsoever thing that with such small amount of money gives you so much results.
It's very sad to see this illegal act that surely will damage the whole community(and it's also bad for us that time will be spent to fix the license managing system instead of going on on the development of processes and the platform itself)... By reading the comments on youtube the workaround seems not so stable so maybe at the end he is not a big genius...
Removing the video and this topic will be a good idea to stop the thing to spread around the net or at least it could help to slow down the process.

I'd suggest to make next releases able to detect software has been manipulated and silently working consequently: making the illegitimate user realizing a long imaging processing has been lost while trying to open a corrupted result could be a good new feature...
