Merging and copying between projects
« on: 2018 November 17 03:16:22 »
I have several projects that do different parts of pre processing and processing. I change them occassionally. Is there a way to copy processes between different projects?

Thanks Chris

Hi Chris!
I open e second instance of PI.
!!PixInsight -n
(in the commandline of PI (1))
In the first instance of PI i select all the processes i want to copy,
and save them  in a fast accessible directory under name "z".
Than i open file Explorer and drag and drop (!!!)  z.xpsm
into the second instance of PI.
And all processes of instance 1 of PI are now available also in instance 2 of PI.

Maybe there is a faster approach - but for me, an old old guy, its fast enough..

Hi Chris -
Another possibility is to highlight the process icons you wish to transfer and then right-click on the workspace, select
Process Icons/Save Process Icons.... Save the icons with the name z.xpsm.
Open the second project, right-click on the workspace, select Process Icons/Load Process Icons.... Double click on the z.xpsm file and, voila, there are the process icons with all the same settings.

Hope this helps.
