Failed image annotations from the SDSS catalogs
« on: 2018 April 13 23:27:10 »
Hello PI team,

why, in areas notoriously covered by the Sloan survey, does the script 'AnnotateImage' not work with SDSS catalogs?
With any 'Vizier server' the result is always the same: the image is perfectly plate solved,
the procedure seems to run regularly, but nothing is annotated on the image!
The report in the Process Console is:
"Downloading Vizier data:
http://vizier.u-strasbg.fr/viz-bin/asu-tsv?-source=II/294&mode==1&-c=141.127754 49.356198&-c.r=0.843977&-c.u=deg&-out.form=|&-out.max=200000&-out=SDSS&-out=RAJ2000&-out=DEJ2000&-out=pmRA&-out=pmDE&-out=cl&-out=zsp&-out=umag&-out=gmag&-out=rmag&-out=imag&-out=zmag&rmag=18..18.5&cl==3

fov:0.843977 actual:0.000000

(PixInsight Core 01.08.05.1353 Ripley (x64): in previous versions the script worked perfectly)

It seems that there has been a change in the API of Vizier. Queries that have been working for many years now don't return the coordinates of the stars. I have to find what is happening, but it will be a few weeks before I can do this.

Andrés.

Now the script works fine.
Thanks Andrés!
