Mure DeNoise does not seem to work right
« on: 2018 February 09 20:03:17 »
Hello

I have been trying to use Mure DeNoise on an integrated monochromatic image to no avail. I have followed the tutorials and added the numbers from DarkBiasNoise estimator but when I run the routine  and check the results I see no change. Have attached 2 screen shots of the settings. What am I doing wrong??

Set detector offset to zero. Offset is removed during calibration.

Use nonzero offset only when denoising uncalibrated frames.

Thanks for the advice.

I have been playing with my images and it turns out the reason I did not see any change in the Luminance image was that it was very clean of noise in integration. When I applied the settings to another image integration with a red filter I did notice a change in the noise reduction. So it does help if you use it on an image that needs denoiseing.

But Thanks again for the advice especially coming from the creator of the script.
