Pixinsight v1.8.5 & COLORMASK v1.0 utility
« on: 2017 September 06 15:25:51 »
Hi All,

Colormask utility v1.0 in the script utilities does not seam to work. I get an error message
about not supporting recursive operation in this version of Pixinsight (1.8.5).
Is there an alternative script method or a newer version of the script that will work?
Is this something that will be fixed in the future?

Thank you,

Brent

Brent

I just used the v1.0 ColorMask script today in  PI 1.8.5 without any problem. I am using Windows 7. You might want to screen capture the error message and post that to help troubleshoot your issue.

Hi Brent,

Are you trying to drag the new instance button (the little blue triangle) on to the target image?  That doesn't work for scripts.  You just need to make sure that the correct Target Image is selected in the script dialog and then press the OK button to run the script.

With scripts, the new instance button is only used to create process icons (drag and drop on a blank area of the PI workspace.)

Cheers,
Rick.

You are correct. Thank you so much!!  I think pixinsight was the
best tool I have ever purchase. And I appreciate your response for
my dumb newbie mistake :-)

Thanks,

Brent
