Carolyn's Rose Cluster - NGC 7789

I've spent the whole summer shooting faint and bright nebulae and supernova remnants. But the beautiful open clusters of fall and winter are making their way back into my sky. Here's a wide-field shot of Carolyn's Rose Cluster, NGC 7789.

Ron,

Great image and great processing and as always a comprehensive write up on how you took and processed it, very helpful.

I have a question regarding your use of DBE, do you normalize or not? I do, but I am wondering if that is the best method.

I started to image NGC 7789 last night, but clouds preventing me doing two of the filter sets.

Thanks,

Mike

I do not normalize. The tool tip that displays when you hove over the Normalize checkbox explains the details of this option. In essence, no normalization tends to produce a more natural looking result.
