Stacking with foreground
« on: 2017 June 23 08:50:35 »
Is there a way to stack the background of an image (AKA the sky) while keeping one set of the foreground (a mountain and some vegetation)? I've just stacked it all before but then the foreground looks really washy, and I've tried to stack just the background (removed in Photoshop) for each image and couldn't even get that to run.

Any help?

Thanks!

Of course, there is no "correct" way to combine a stack of times of star images with a single image of something that does not share their apparent motion. Was of overcoming this lie in the art field of "astroscapes," not in scientific imaging...which is where PI operates most readily. You might just look up some well known artists in that field...Alan Dyer comes to mind. I think he even may have written a book on the topic.
