Clone stamp error

My first post here.  I am getting error when applying clone stamp.  Not sure what I am doing wrong.  I Ctrl + Click to select source point and as soon as I let the Ctrl key go the error appears.  I created a range mask and was trying to remove one of the galaxy and apply mask to the original image so I can apply sharpening to the other galaxy in the image.

The error says :

PCL Win32 System Exception
At address 00007FFBBF6D4A79 with exception code C0000005 :
Access violation: invalid memory read operation at address FFFFFFFFFFFFFFE8

I am attaching screenshot of the error. Hoping that it will show.  Any help appreciated.

It seems to be working now.  I rebooted the laptop, tried again and seem to work.  Hopefully it was one time issue at my end.  If I happen to get the error again I will repost it.

I am having the same issue - error - and it only occurs when using clone stamp.  Rebooting has not helped.
