Hi

Raw conversion with Raw Format Preference "No black point correction" un-ticked seems to result in the left hand side of the histogram being clipped at 600 ( 14bit scale on histogram ).  The result is that the left half of the distribution peak of very short exposures (those aimed at capturing the center of stars for example) are clipped.

If I select "No black point correction" then the full distribution curve is present ( albeit "shifted" 600 units to the right).

The problem is that when I try to calibrate this image with a master flat it does not produce a flat image due, I assume, to the 600 unit offset of the black point.

Does anyone know how I can do a flat calibration of an image that has its black point at 600?
