Title: Save Project
Post by: Warhen on 2014 January 14 11:07:27
Hi Juan et al, Hoping this is not redundant. Project saves can be rather lengthy depending on your workflow (many images, etc.). For this reason I've deferred doing save updates, and ended up losing work to a crash. Of course the solution is to eliminate all crashes/lockups from 1.8, but I wonder if a periodic auto save, and/or auto-recover feature wouldn't be helpful. Thanks!

Hi Warren,

Projects usually require gigabytes on disk, so an automatic project backup feature is nontrivial. The best way to prevent data losses is saving your projects frequently. If data sizes become a serious problem, then a good strategy is dividing your work into smaller sequences and save multiple sub-projects, at least until you have a finished product.

If you experience some crashes and lockups in a repeatable way, then what we need are the corresponding bug reports to identify and fix the causing bugs.
