Hi,
I am trying to enter a commercial user id and activation code without success. I uninstalled the trial version and downloaded what I think is the latest version, PI32-win-01.00.58.377-nsi-20080330-c.exe.
Upon entering the info in the activation screen, I get an authentication error: The server says: "INVALID AUTHENTICATION CODE".
I had removed the .pixinsight-license file from the identified point and tried redownloading the application without success. I also tried the CTRL-start without success.
The system is a Mac Pro running boot camp and booted into an XP Pro SP2 partition with 4 processors and 2 GB RAM addressed. I get the same result operating under a virtual machine (Fusion).
I am at a loss on what to try next and would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.
John

Hi John
It is nice to see you here (although, not in the Bugs section ;)).
As a starting point, uninstall everything, and go to your personal folder ( C:\Documents and Setting\<user> ) and delete the .pixinsight-licence, if exists. Restart the computer (just in case). Now, install the application, from the "-c" file you downloaded. Launch the core program, enter your id and activation code.
If this doesn't work, there might be a problem in our databases... Juan will check that everything is fine.
BTW, did the trial version work properly?

Hi Carlos,
Thanks. Juan regenerated the activation code and that worked fine! Can't wait to get started :)

Forgot to answer your question. Yes, the trial worked fine.
