Title: Double Dead Line corrector Script
Post by: blaurent on 2013 December 10 01:14:11
I've completely rebuild my script correction hot dead columns / cold / that I developed at the request of Nicolas FLI for its cameras.
With the classic algorithm, we know a fixed column but not a double. This script does. then we realized that the 2nd, (sometime first too ) is not dead but just cold (adu slightly lower), I have therefore found an algorithm that can rebuild these cold or hot columns enhancing lost ADU .

This also applies to a single column, because it avoids the averaged replaced by a simple algorithm.

In this example, the first colone is dead, but the 2nd is just cold, it was recovered.

Looks like what I've been needing. Where can I get this script?

Thanks,

Steve

Like Steve I would love to see the script.  This is not a problem limited to FLI since i had the same issue with my Apogee Alta F16M (they were able to repair the issue but I have lots of images that I took before I sent the CCD in for repairs that I am processing).  In my case they were almost exclusively colder pixel horizontal bands stretching left and right from bright stars.  Is that the same issue for the FLIs?

Thanks for developing such a handy script,

Jim
