Title: Calling for a process icon setup on the desktop from within a script
Post by: astrospotter on 2012 September 17 23:07:58
I am doing some movies of the night sky these days and wonder if I setup a few things like noise reduce and histogram or curve transform as icons on the desktop if those can directly be applied to a series of images that I specify from a filelist?

I have a shell of a script that I can specify many files that I currently use for some custom DFT/IDFT so I would have a list of files but then want to call out a few scripts that have been saved to file OR exist on the desktop in PI, perhaps called   myNoiseReduce.xpsm and myHistoXform.xpsm.

Then I could let it chug all night and run a few pre-prepaired icons of my choice on all the files I have to process?

Sorry if this is in the forum somewhere but the forum is rather big and I am not having much luck with my search so far.

Thanks,
Mark Johnston

search for ImageContainer, that should let you do what you want.

Should have know a wonderful script such as ImageContainder with ProcessContainer already is part of PI.   NICE!  and Thanks.   Yet another great PI lesson that will be used a lot by myself in future!

For others reading this thread I put in the 'english' translation of the great tutorial on this topic.
All credit goes to PI team and all those implementing and documenting ImageContainer.   THANKS!

use google translate, If I can understand it must work  :P
