NGC7000 in Ha RGB
(http://www.starhopper.de/pi/ngc7000.jpg)
Data:
Title: NGC7000 Area
Optic: Canon EF200f2.8 at f/2.8
Filter: Baader 50mm HaRGB
Camera: SBIG STL11000M C2 at -18°C, selfguiding

Location: Kreben, Germany
Date: 9.09.2012, bad condition (transparency and clouds)
Processing:
ImageCalibration/Integration, StarAlignment, Stacking: avgSigma for RGB & Winsorized for Ha, RGB Combination, Silvercups HaRGB Script, ColorSaturation, DBE, Histogramm Streching
Processing Notes:
I am new in PI, so processing is always a challenge for me. StarAlignments log says: failed=0 but my blue images were not aligned properly. The solution was to give a 2 in HotPixelRemoval. Next I had trouble with the Auto Pixel interpolation in StarAlignment, stars in my RGB frames got dark pixels around (clamping threshold used). The solution was to give a BicubicSpline Interpolation. My 200mm telephoto lens led to undersampled frames, this may be the cause.
Than I tried to make a L-RGB Image but all stars lost their colors, so I decided to continue with RGB combination (I made L-RGB images successfully in PI with other data). After that I decided to reduce starsize in the blue channel (caused by the lens). Than the use of silvercups HaRGB script was true fun. I like it. It works fine, despite the issue with applied STF.
Altogether I am very satisfied with the result and I hope you like it too.
