Hi to all,
Lately a very strange thing happens with StarMask, If the "Smoothness" is low, the results stars appear squared and octogonals, only disappear this molest effect if I upping Smoothness range .I seem that something bad in my procedure, but ¿what is?
Best Regards
Ferran.

Hi Caliu,
for me this is normal; lowering the smoothness creates less smooth stars. Lifting it creates more uniformly shaped stars.
Correct me if I am wrong.. ???

Thanks Lex,
I do not think like you, I think the stars should be round, always.....wait for an answer from the experts :-\

Could you show an example?

This is due to the morphological filter used in the process.

This is due to the morphological filter used in the process.
Vicent,
so this filter causes the stars to change shape from round to edgey, by in or decreasing the smoothness?

Vicent, I don't use in this time the Morphology, the image come directly from MST:
