Title: Demo/Introcution to PI in Astronomy Group
Post by: erikgu on 2012 April 19 02:27:43
Hi !

We have an Astronomy Group where two of us is going to present PI. The members of the group have excellent skills in both astrophotography and image processing. Most of them are using Photoshop and/or Maxim. They look at PI as a cryptic tool that is hard to learn. We, the presenters will change this impression . We will go through the most common PI functions by handling some images.

My question, is there any PI presentation documentation that is public and can be used as a short introduction ?

I highly recommend showing or referencing Vicent's excellent processing demonstration -- it covers the basic tools and delivers excellent results:

(BTW, PI developers: very nice look on your Youtube channel!)
