I post here, even if it is possible that isn't the appropriate section, my request of help about a problem to install P.I. on another pc; i have made all according to the instructions received with the commercial licence but when i write the user and activation code i receive the message : invalid authorization code'; why?
Thank you
P.S.: i have made a direct request on the web-site of P.I. but i have had no reply.

Look at FAQ at:

See 2.7 (and 2.8 ).
Hope this helps.

If you refer to:
On Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user-name>
On Windows Vista and Windows 7:
C:\Users\<user-name>
where <user-name> is your actual user name on your operating system. If you simply copy your license file to the home directory of another machine you own, the commercial PixInsight application will run on that machine without problems. If you take the precaution to make a backup copy of your license file, then you'll never have to re-activate your license.
i have made so and i continue to have the problem.

Yes, that's what I was referring.
I am sorry that you are still having issues. I guess only PixInsight company can only help you.
I am sure PI will resolve this issue.
Good luck.

Thank you for your reply because i have found the problem: the file licence must be placed simply on the principal root C:\ ; i have wrong to place it on the same directory of the primary installation C:\Documents and Settings\user
Best regards.
