Title: Zoom for Real-Time Preview?
Post by: viktorbravo on 2012 January 06 14:11:10
OK, so what's the secret?  How can I zoom the RTP image so I can get a better view of the changes I'm about to make?  I'm sure its something completely obvious but for the life of me I cant figure out how to do it.

Sorry again for the newbie question, any help is much appreciated.

You can't zoom the Real-Time Preview window (although you can resize it). Define one or more previews in your image covering regions of interest, which you can select in the RTP. By defining relatively small previews, you can easily achieve the desired zoom ratio on RTP.

Besides the RTP, becoming fluent with the use of previews is very important to get the most out of PixInsight. Previews are powerful and extremely flexible tools to try out processes.

i know this is old, but just adding my 2 cents.

Why make an easy task harder?  It would be much easier for the user if you added the ability to zoom in the RTP.  This is extremely annoying - especially when doing work on details, like sharpening or wavelets.

Doesn't seem like it should be that hard....
