Hi
I am trying to create a mosaic, but I am having problems with Frame Adaption.
I am running v1.7 of PI and followed the tuturials and searched othed posts in the forum.
I have selected two linear frames in Star Alignment with working mode Register/Union - Mosaic
Generate masks and Frame Adaption are checked.
After creating a New Instance, the Processing Console displays the linear frame adaption functions and that Registration successful
Where can I find the Pixel Math Expression which is a result of the frame adaption carried out.
Regards
Doug

Hi Doug,
StarAlignment's frame adaptation feature is completely automatic; you don't have to apply the linear adaptation functions because the process applies them for you.
If frame adaptation still leaves some visible seams in your mosaic, they are normally due to one or both of these causes: flat fielding errors (even slight errors), or residual sky gradients. In such case what you need is Georg Viehoever's GradientMergeMosaic. Take a good watch at this video by Steve Allan:

Georg's GradientDomain module is available at the update-devel repository (http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=3335.0) . He has just released a new version which we'll distribute as an update as soon as possible.

Just the video I was looking for, Steve has explained it very well.
I'm very impressed with Georg's GradientMergeMosaic.
All I need now is for this British weather to clear and then I can capture more data for my mosaic.
Thanks
Doug
