Title: PI won't update for me.
Post by: swag72 on 2011 July 10 11:01:14
I am wanting to allow PI to update, but whenever I start it up, it says that it is unable to load repository information and then I get the following

ttp://update.pixinsight.com/: Parsing repository update information: Invalid platform 'version' attribute value: 1.7.0:1.7.9 (line=16,column=58)

Can anyone help on this? As I would like to have the available updates.

Hi,

Welcome to PixInsight Forum.

Upgrading from version 1.6.9 to 1.7 isn't possible through the update system. You have to download and install version 1.7.0 manually:

If you are a Windows user, please don't forget to uninstall your current version (Start > All Programs > PixInsight Platform > Uninstall) before installing the new one. Once you have 1.7.0 running you'll receive a number of additional updates, which should work without problems.

Hope this helps.
