As my trial period had expired, today I purchased (on-line) a commercial licence.
The payment (171 Euros) went through, but no details for the download, or licence have been received via e-mail.
Is there normally a delay?, as when I usually purchase downloadable software on-line, the download information and licence number are retuned almost immediately ???

Have you checked your Spam filter folder? I remember my ISP blocked the email from PI

Hi Dave,
You should have received an instructions email with license activation codes within five minutes after your purchase. Unfortunately there are some email providers that insist in rejecting all messages sent from our corporate email server, notably Yahoo and sometimes BTInternet.
Please provide us with a different email address for your license, and we'll send your instructions message again. So far Gmail works perfectly and has never rejected our emails.

Hi Nigel and Juan
The e-mail was indeed in the 'spam folder', which is somewhat strange, as when I applied for the 'trial licence', the return e-mail came straight into my 'inbox' ???
Had the 'trial licence' gone into the 'spam folder' I would have thought to look in there this time, but as it didn't, I had no reason to suspect that the commercial licence would have gone there.
However, it matters not now, as I have downloaded and installed the software 8)
BTW Juan, I hope that the last three numbers of the 'user identifier' issued to me, aren't a bad omen, and I certainly wouldn't like them for my car registration >:D

Hi Harry
I did say during the trial period, that I was happy with most aspects (not the star reduction process though ;) ) of PixInsight, and would be purchasing the software, and am now pleased to have done so :)
I will be demonstrating some of the aspects of the software, at our 'local group' meeting next Sunday, and I'm sure the thing that will impress people the most, will be the DBE function 8)

Hi Dave,
Happy to know everything's working well now. However keep an eye on this spamming problem because all update notifications will go to the same email box.
BTW Juan, I hope that the last three numbers of the 'user identifier' issued to me, aren't a bad omen, and I certainly wouldn't like them for my car registration
Ouch! User identifiers are mostly random sequences so there's been no intention O:) Just don't be superstitious and there won't be problems ;)

That's because you still haven't got the hang of it. When you get it, I'm sure you'll fall in love with PI's star management ;D
