Title: RTP for CC Reference masks
Post by: Nocturnal on 2010 August 31 17:05:34

Hi,

it seems that adjusting correct limits for generating the reference masks in ColorCalibration is rather important. Rather than using trial and error it would be nice to have a real time preview of the effect of the sliders.

Hi Sander,

Perhaps, as processor power increases, and the cost of RAM comes down, a user could enable/disable RTP on a process by process basis, and specify whether the RTP whould be at full 1:1 resolution, or otherwise?

There would certainly be a few processes that happen 'quickly enough' that RTP could be a legitimate option EVERY TIME a parameter is changed in a process dialogue GUI - and, again, if the user is empowered to control this, then the overall flexibility of PI increases yet again.

Hi Niall,

RTP is already optional so I think we have that covered. As I've posted before I think it would be great if RTP could be scaled to predefined integer sizes like the 'normal' views. There are definite distortions in RTP due to resizing that I'd like to avoid if I can.

Second that.
