Hi Emanuele,
I know that this has been discussed (Vincent has been in touch with me to discuss venues), but - as yet - there have been NO concrete plans made.
Let's see how the Adler workshop goes, and let Vincent consider options thereafter. Organisation of something like this is not a trivial matter!

Not enough beers in Scotlant? ;)

Hi Carlos,
More likely 'not enough astronomers' ::)
Personally, I would LOVE to try and host such a Seminar here in Scotland, but it would have to be located down next to the Scotland/England border, just because that would be the only way we could hope to attract enough attendees.
Even then, I do not think that a location so far north would work. Remember, we are talking about a 'European' workshop here, not a 'UK' workshop - and despite what our Government would have you believe, the UK is NOT the centre of Europe.
A 'parallel' scenario might be for the South American Workshop to be held in Punta Arenas, or Ushuaia. Yes, it could be done, but who would be able to attend?
Cheers,

Well, in fact there was an amateur astronomy congress in Coihayque (near Punta Arenas). Dobson and Levy were invited :P
Talking seriously, a workshop in Europe is a matter of time. Soon you'll reach a critical mass. But, the most serious drawback may be language.
