Title: Bugfix released (Windows only): Standard FITS and TIFF support modules.
Post by: Juan Conejero on 2010 May 19 10:53:22
Note: This is a bugfix update for Windows versions of PixInsight 1.5.x and 1.6.0. Linux/X11 and Mac OS X users, please ignore this release.

New versions of the standard FITS and TIFF support modules for Windows are now available for download:

For 32-bit versions:
http://pixinsight.com/download/public_bugfixes/bugfix-win-x86-20100519.zip

For 64-bit versions:
http://pixinsight.com/download/public_bugfixes/bugfix-win-x86_64-20100519.zip

To install these updates, download the appropriate zip file for your platform and decompress it on your bin installation folder. The bin installation folder is by default:

C:\PCL\bin

or

C:\PCL64\bin

for 32-bit and 64-bit versions, respectively, unless you installed PixInsight on a custom folder. In the latter case, there is an equivalent bin folder under your custom installation folder.

When you decompress the zip file, please replace the existing FITS-pxm.dll and TIFF-pxm.dll files with the new versions.

These versions fix an obscure bug that was preventing entering values above 9923 approximately for the input floating point range parameters in the FITS and TIFF Preferences dialogs. See this thread in the bug reports forum board (http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=1936.0) for more information.
