Hi:
I would love to have a graph created showing the residuals etc of the deconvolution process versus iteration. Seeing the trend of the values, the curve they create, could help one learn what settings are best for deconvolution and identify early on whether the process is proceeding in an ideal fashion. Knowledge of what the absolute values are is not so essential as seeing how they change as the iterations progress and what the result is!
I notice no data is generated without regularization, maybe an OPTION to measure the changes between iterations could be useful for tuning decon, even without regularization?? Not sure ...
A plot of values per iteration as they occur would be really useful for learning trends and possibly stopping a bad deconvolution.
My wish!
cheers

You sure have a lot of wishes. How long have you been using PI?

Do I need to put in the time to make a wish? ;) *Joke*
Seriously, I have been using various consumer level image processing packages for many years, and I have always wanted more. I love PixInsight so much and if any developer was going to be open to ideas I thought PixInsight is it!! So all those wishes over the years ... well you guys are getting them!
Please review and assess these ideas objectively on the merits and usefulness of the IDEA and not on any perception of the person who has proposed them.

Hi Colin
Previous versions of the deconvolution tool (prior to the 1.0 release, in our first platform) had a graph that showed the progress of the delta parameter, the convergence. Right now the information is written directly into the console, without a plot. Maybe Juan or other guy may use this output to create a javascript that plots the data...
