I have lost the ROW OF ICONS across both the top   ..and the few at the bottom  as in work spaces

I just upgraded.   I am using a MAC Mojave with the latest OS.

I have tried to attach a PNG screen shot of PI and the post files.

maybe your preferences got messed up? you can turn the toolbars back on in View > Show Control Bars

also if they dont appear they may have all been turned off. at the risk of undoing any customization you may have done, you can select Default Control Bars from the view menu and they should reset and display.

i think the forum is messed up as attachments are not working for other people either...
