Title: Problem with Mosaic

I have done more then 10 mosaics using PixInsight with great success.  Suddenly I can no longer make a mosaic.    I am attaching the result of the GradientMergeMosaic.  The overlapping areas appear to be the sum of both images.  (1) Is there something I'm missing with the Registation Process?  (2) Is there something I'm missing with the GradientMergeMosaic Process?  Any help is welcome.

Without knowing your process it is difficult to suggest anything and if you are doing the same as you have for the last 10 mosaics then would assume it should still work. I have noticed that the overlap areas are a bit small, I normally use a 10% overlap to the the software a fighting chance.

Thank you for responding.  Are you saying the GradientMergeMosaic Process needs more overlate.  I did the registration on a synthetic star field.

I've just recently begun to use GradientMergeMosaic and I found the "overlay" option instead of "average" for the combination type was much better. I don't know if "average" worked better in previous versions but perhaps you could check out "overlay".

10% overlap minimum is recommended
