Title: help with CFA image calibration/registration/integration and MureDenoise
Post by: Buzz on 2019 December 26 06:50:51
Hi,
I have been following the advice on the forum and carefully avoiding the pitfalls of CMOS sensor dark frame subtraction during calibration and have had some respectable results. In my process, I debayer the image prior to registration which is then followed by integration.

I have had spectacular results with Mure Denoise with my mono CCD in the past and wondered how to use that with a CFA image. I'm guessing the debayering process messes the noise evaluation and I cannot use it... or maybe I should not debayer until after registration/integration/MureDenoise ?

Chris, I am sorry you are correct, MureDenoise does not work with CFA images (nor drizzle images for the same reason).

Thanks,
Mike
