Title: DeconvolutionPreview plus STF
Post by: Alejandro Tombolini on 2019 May 18 08:57:04
Hi Juan, when after using DeconvolutionPreview scritp (Default values) in this (http://pixinsight.com.ar/files/temp/Blue-BINNING_1.xisf.zip) image, PI crashes when you apply STF on the DeconvolutionPreview image.
Tested in the full image and small previews

PixInsight Core 01.08.06.1474 Ripley (x64) on Linux

Saludos, Alejandro.

Hola Alejandro,

I can't reproduce this on previews (and cannot invest the time necessary to check this on the entire frame right now). Can you tell me the coordinates of a preview where this happens (small, if possible)?

Hola Juan, it is strange, it happens in any preview on my PC. I am using STF with linked channels

Attached an image with the preview coordinates of a new test.

Hope this helps

Saludos, Alejandro.

Strange indeed. I can apply the DeconvolutionPreview script to this preview and then apply STF to the 'DeconvolutionPreview' image without problems, linked or unlinked.

What distro are you running on?

I am on Red Hat EL 7.6. Ubuntu 16 is old but well supported. I don't know why this happens...

Do you get a crash report generated by PixInsight (a stack trace) and can continue, or does the application exit in an uncontrolled way?

Yes!!, I have to update it  >:D.

No messages, the application exits. See this viedo (http://pixinsight.com.ar/files/temp/DeconvolutionPreview.mp4)

I will continue investigating this

This looks like a conflict between system libraries and libraries included in the PixInsight distribution for Linux. Can you try removing (or better, renaming) the libstdc++ libraries on the bin/lib directory?

Hi Juan, I renamed the file and the same, but I discovered something new. If apply STF without 24 bit lookup tables it works fine, and PI closes only when I select it again 24 bit.
Ram Memory problem?

Saludos, Alejandro.

Hi,
