Title: New release of 1.8.6 doesn't display menus when running from remote desktop
Post by: CCDer on 2019 May 15 07:16:43
I've always used remote desktop for running PI and have two different mini PC's I use remotely for crunching data. But this newest release doesn't display any menus except the right click menu.

This is under Win 7 by the way.

So remote desktop from Win 10 to a Win 7 machine displays no PI menus other than right click.

But I tried Win 10 to Win 10 remote desktop and that does display all menus. But I really would prefer to not have to update those mini PC's from Win 7 to Win 10 for this one application that are only used for this one application.

Windows 7 and 8.x are no longer supported officially by current 1.8.6 versions of PixInsight. So if you have to run PixInsight on a remote Windows desktop, I'm afraid the only solution is upgrading your machines to Windows 10.
